90 Day Return Policy

Scales Plus offers one of the best return policies in the industry. Most new and unused merchandise can be refunded or exchanged within 90 days of the original purchase date. We understand that various circumstances related to business operations may require additional time to evaluate new equipment assets before they are placed into use.  It is for this reason that we've decided to offer a significantly larger return window than most of our competitors. At  Scales Plus, we not only provide exceptional support and customer service. We also provide peace of mind.

 

Some exceptions apply.  Please see our policy exception section below.  RETURNS WITHOUT AN APPROVED RMA MAY BE DENIED.

• NVLAP certified, serialized and/or stamped calibration weights

• NIST traceable and ISO certified calibration reports

• Microbalances and ultramicrobalances

• Items belonging to an order shipped outside of the United States

• Custom products made to customer specifications, including software
• Used products or products that show signs of wear

• Shipping charges (see policy exception below)

• Calibration weights without certification or serial numbers must be returned within 30 days of purchase

• Clearance items must be returned within 30 days of purchase (see policy exception below)

Return Information

OUR 90-DAY RETURN POLICY APPLIES ONLY TO NEW AND UNUSED PRODUCTS. SCALES PLUS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DENY A RETURN FOR ITEMS THAT SHOW SIGNS OF USE, WEAR, DAMAGE OR THAT ARE MISSING ORIGINAL PACKAGING OR CONTENTS. OPENED ITEMS MISSING PACKAGING OR CONTENTS THAT ARE ABLE TO BE RESOLD MAY BE SUBJECT TO A RE-STOCKING FEE. PLEASE BE SURE TO INCLUDE ALL ORIGINAL PACKAGING AND CONTENTS INCLUDING USER MANUALS, POWER SUPPLIES, BOXES, AND ALL OTHER APPLICABLE CONTENTS.

 

CLEARANCE ITEMS

Any used or refurbished products purchased from our clearance section must be returned within 30 days of purchase. Clearance items should be returned in similar condition to when they were purchased and include all packaging and contents.

 

USE OR DAMAGE

Our goal is to provide the best return policy in the industry so that you, our customer, can have confidence when buying from Scales Plus. Our 90 day return policy applies to items that are new and unused. All original packaging and contents must be included with your return. In the event Scales Plus receives a return that shows excessive wear, damage or signs of use, we reserve the right to deny your return.

 

ORIGINAL SHIPPING CHARGES

Original shipping charges are non-refundable as part of your return or exchange unless the return is a result of a manufacturer's or Scales Plus error.

 

RETURN SHIPPING CHARGES

Unless the return is a result of an error by Scales Plus, the customer is responsible for all return shipping fees. This includes the cost of shipping the item back to Scales Plus.

If the return is a result of an error by Scales Plus, we will provide you with a prepaid return shipping label.

 

RETURN PROCESS

To return or exchange a product, please complete the following steps.

 

1. Request a RMA from Scales Plus by phone or email our returns department. Please have your order number available.
2. Place the item(s) into a sturdy shipping package.
3. Include all manufacturer's original packaging, internal packing materials and product contents
4. Please include your RMA number on the shipping label and the RMA form in the return box.
Ship back to Scales Plus using your carrier of choice (USPS, FedEx, UPS).


PLEASE NOTE: The original shipping charges incurred in your purchase are non-refundable unless the return is a result of Scales Plus' error. Approved returns with valid proof of purchase will be exchanged, credited to your account or refunded via in-store credit based on the original method of payment unless noted in our Policy Exceptions. Returns made with a gift card or in-store credit will be refunded as in-store credit. 

 

DOA, DAMAGED AND MISSING ITEMS

If you receive an order that arrives damaged, incorrect, incomplete or is in need of replacement parts, contact Scales Plus customer service within 3 days of receiving the item to report the error or damage.

For warranty information related to specific products or brands, please contact us or visit the specific manufacturer's website. 

 

EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES

These remedies are your exclusive remedies. All other remedies are hereby excluded. All warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are expressly excluded. The exclusions herein are subject to, and may be limited by, applicable law and you may have additional rights that vary from state to state.
