No Hassle 90 Day Return Policy

Scales Plus is committed to making sure you are 100% satisfied with your order.

If you're not completely satisfied with your Scales Plus purchase, simply send a request to returns@scalesplus.com to receive a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). Most new, unused merchandise can be refunded or exchanged within 90 days of the original purchase date. Some exceptions apply. Please see our policy exception section below.

Returns with valid proof of purchase will be exchanged, credited to your account or refunded via in-store credit based on the original method of payment unless noted in our Policy Exceptions. Returns made with a gift card or in-store credit will be refunded as in-store credit. 

To make this process even easier, you can login to your account to initiate the return process.

Policy Exceptions

Clearance Items

Any used or refurbished products purchased from our clearance section must be returned within 30 days of purchase.

Calibration Weights

All calibration weights (no NVLAP certificate) must be returned within 30 days of purchasing the product.

Returns for NVLAP certified and serialized calibration weights are not accepted at this time.

Calibration Service

Calibration reports are non-refundable. 

Custom Products

Returns for any products that are custom made to a customer’s specific requests, including custom software, are not accepted.

Excessive Damage or Use

Our goal is to provide the best return policy in the industry so that you, our customer, can have confidence when buying from Scales Plus. Our 90 day no hassle return policy applies to items that are new, unused, or like new. All original packaging and contents must be included with your return. In the event Scales Plus receives a return that shows excessive wear, damage or signs of use, we reserve the right to deny your return.

International Orders

Returns are not accepted for any items that are part of an international order.

Shipping Charges

Original shipping charges incurred on your purchase aren’t refundable as part of your return or exchange.


Return Process

To return or exchange a product, please complete the following steps.

  1. Request a RMA from Scales Plus by phone or email returns@scalesplus.com. Please have your order number available.
  2. Place the item(s) into a sturdy shipping package.
  3. Include all manufacturer's original packing materials, manuals and accessories.
  4. Please include your RMA number on the shipping label and the RMA form in the return box.
  5. Ship back to Scales Plus using your carrier of choice (USPS, FedEx, UPS).

Note: The original shipping charges incurred in your purchase aren’t refundable as part of your return.


Shipping/Delivery Errors, Missing Items, Damage Due to Shipping/Delivery?

If you receive an order that arrives damaged, incorrect, incomplete or is in need of replacement parts, contact Scales Plus customer service at 1-616-622-2100 within three days of receiving the item to report the error or damage.

For warranty information related to specific products or brands, please contact us or visit the specific manufacturer's website. 

Exclusive Remedies

These remedies are your exclusive remedies. All other remedies are hereby excluded. All warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are expressly excluded. The exclusions herein are subject to, and may be limited by, applicable law and you may have additional rights that vary from state to state.
