OHAUS Scout portable balances offer exceptional performance and accuracy in a slim compact package. They are loaded with multiple weighing modes, measurement units and are extremely user friendly. OHAUS Scout SPX balances are well suited for educational use and general laboratory weighing. They feature a highly-visible LCD display with large digits, simple 4-key operation and come with weighing modes including weighing, parts counting, checkweighing, percent weighing, totalization and display mode. Optional communication interfaces include USB Host, USB Device, RS232 and Ethernet for connection to peripheral devices such as PCs and printers. Scout SPX portable balances can be powered by both an AC adapter or 4 AA batteries.
OHAUS Scout STX balances feature a large full-color touchscreen display with intuitive navigation. They come loaded with all the same weighing modes as SPX, with additional modes including dynamic/animal weighing, density determination and Mole weighing. These are perfect for more advanced laboratory and industrial weighing applications that require precision weighing and a small footprint. Communication interface options include USB Host, USB Device, RS232, and Ethernet. Scout STX portable balances can be powered by AC adapter or 4 AA batteries.
OHAUS Scout SJX portable balances are the only models in the lineup that are Class II NTEP-certified for use in legal for trade applications. They are very popular in the jewelry and pawn industries, but have also seen a substantial entrance into cannabis weighing. SJX portable balances come standard with all the same weighing modes as the SPX models. Communication options are the same as all other Scouts and they can be powered by either an AC adapter or 4 AA batteries.
