Why do you do add-to-cart discounts?
Scales Plus applies automatic discounts when you add eligible products to your cart. We do this to provide our customers with the best possible deals on critical weighing equipment. We have to provide discounts in cart to remain compliant with Minimum Approved Pricing (MAP) policies from some of our suppliers.
What is a MAP policy?
MAP policy, or Minimum Approved Pricing, is a pricing policy imposed by many manufacturers. The regular advertised price must not be displayed below their MAP. However, once you add eligible products to your cart, we are allowed to provide a discount.
