OHAUS has once again raised the standard for precision weighing with the release of two new balance series: Explorer and Explorer Plus. Designed with usability, accuracy, and smart connectivity in mind, these new models bring thoughtful improvements to nearly every aspect of the weighing experience.

Environmental Monitoring (EXP)
Explorer Plus balances include integrated temperature, air pressure, and humidity sensors, which continuously monitor ambient conditions to help maintain consistent accuracy and repeatability.
Digital & Motorized Leveling
A digital level bubble displayed on the 7" touchscreen simplifies the setup process. Explorer Plus balances take it to another level with a motorized leveling system, allowing you to level the balance with a single button press. Leveling a balance has never been easier!
Innovative Draftshield
Explorer analytical balances, and some precision models, feature innovative draftshields designed to improve weighing performance and consistency. The draftshield glass panels are coated in an anti-static material to help dissipate static charges within the weighing chamber, providing more accurate results. A spotlight illuminates the weighing chamber for visibility in low light environments.
The automatic draftshield doors on Explorer Plus models use infrared sensors for hands-free operation, reducing contamination risk and enhancing user safety. Furthermore, the doors feature a half-open mode to help stabilize airflow when working with lightweight powder samples. All EXP draftshields include a built-in ionizer and a 7-color status light.
Enhanced Security & Data Management
Both EXR and EXP models support Network Time Protocol (NTP) synchronization and electronic signatures, helping users maintain compliant and traceable documentation. Explorer Plus offers an optional fingerprint log-in system with up to four access levels, plus logging capacity for up to 100,000 user entries.
Connectivity and Communication
Communication flexibility has also been improved. Both models include additional USB host and/or device ports, allowing you to connect peripherals such as full-size keyboards for faster data entry. Optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongles are available if you require wireless connectivity.
Terminal Status Lights
OHAUS Explorer balances are engineered for superior precision weighing and user-friendly operation. The new terminal status lights improve operator efficiency by delivering instant visual feedback for underload or overload conditions, as well as weighing process status. There are 7 colors to choose from and you can customize status settings with corresponding colors.

The enhanced menu navigation is designed for ultimate ease of use, offering a smooth and intuitive experience that feels instantly familiar. Functioning much like a smartphone, it combines clear, responsive icons with simple pop-out menus for effortless control. You can quickly access settings and functions with minimal clicks, reducing setup time and improving workflow efficiency. OHAUS Explorer precision and analytical balances come ready-to-use straight out-of-the-box. The innovative packaging design protects the fully assembled balances, including the draft shield glass, during shipping.
