Last month, members of the Scales Plus team and other golf enthusiasts gathered at the Maple Hill Golf Course in Grandville, MI for a truly special event—one that combined the love of the game with the power of giving back. This fundraiser was not just about hitting the fairways and sinking putts; it was about making a real difference in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.

This year, we tried to do our part by sponsoring every hole, the beer cart (you have to stay hydrated!), and all seven unique games along the course. The games added an exciting twist to the day. From longest drives to closest-to-the-pin challenges, spin the wheel, and corn-hole, participants had plenty of opportunities to showcase their skills while having a great time.

Alzheimer's disease is the most common form of dementia, affecting millions of individuals worldwide. The impact extends far beyond the patient—it affects families, caregivers, and entire communities. With no known cure, the journey for those living with Alzheimer's can be long, challenging, and isolating. Important fundraising events like this one, provide a platform for people to come together and talk openly about Alzheimer's. By raising awareness, we break down the stigma surrounding the disease and create a stronger, more supportive network for those affected.

A Day to Remember

As the final putts dropped and the last cheers echoed across the course, it was clear that the day had been a resounding success—not only in terms of fundraising but also in building a sense of unity among everyone involved. Golfers, volunteers, and sponsors all left Maple Hill Golf Course knowing that we had contributed to something far greater than enjoying a round of golf.
