Scales Plus Anti-Vibration Tables
Anti-vibration tables from Scales Plus are designed to negate external vibration disturbances that could impact the performance of precision weighing balances. Lab balances are heavily influenced by vibration, which is one of the most common causes of drifting. Analytical balances and microbalances are especially sensitive and require an appropriate environment to maintain consistent measuring results. Anti-vibration tables provide substantial performance benefits when using analytical balances with a readability of 0.1mg or finer. For microbalances, they are absolutely necessary for the instrument to operate properly.
Vibration isolation is achieved using a combination of a dense work surface material and vibration isolators. Our granite tops are heavy and dense, making them inherently well suited as a vibration isolation material. The granite does not make direct contact with the frame. Instead, the granite work surface rests on unique vibration isolators that provide additional dampening of vibrations that could travel from the frame to the work surface.
