Mass comparators are designed for determination of mass differences between a test mass standard and a known mass standard. These measurements are easily influences by ambient conditions, such as vibrations and air currents, and are generally compensated for via the use of draft shields and anti-vibration tables in a temperature controlled weighing room. After measurements are performed and saved to a database, calibration certificates are able to be formatted and printed.
