Tax-Exemptions
Scales Plus is happy to honor valid sales tax exemption certificates for eligible businesses, organizations, and government agencies. Exemptions must be on file before you place your order as refunds will not be issued after the sale.
How It Works
To take advantage of your tax-exempt status, you’ll need to create an account with Scales Plus. Once your account is set up, you can upload your exemption certificate directly from your Your Account page.
Steps to Submit Your Certificate
- Log in to your Scales Plus account
- Add addresses in the Addresses tab. You must have a ship to address added to your account prior to adding your certificate.
- Navigate to your Tax Exemption section in the navigation menu
- Enter the required information and upload your exemption certificate (resale, exemption, etc)
- You'll now be able to make tax-exempt purchases when logged in
Please note, if you had items in your cart prior to entering your exemption, please empty your cart and re-add them for the exemption to apply correctly.
