Welcome Our New Inside Sales Manager!

Our team is proud to announce the newest addition to the Scales Plus family! Tyler has filled the role of Inside Sales Manager and will help with our continued growth by providing additional dedicated support for our customers.

Tyler fills the role of Inside Sales Manager as the newest team member of the Scales Plus family. In his position, Tyler will provide additional support for current and future customers through dedicated customer service and outreach. He will assist customers with product information, availability, pricing and provide an elevated customer experience furthering our company's goal to become the single best place to purchase scales.

To learn more about Tyler, we did a Q&A and got the answers to some of our burning questions. See what he had to say below!


Q: So far, what has been your favorite part of being on the Scales Plus team?

A: The best part of being on the Scales Plus team is the team. They are a very tight knit group, who have been very welcoming, and patient with my on-boarding.

Q: Tell us about your previous experience in sales and how it will help with your current position at Scales Plus 

A: I started my sales career at an aftermarket auto parts store. My role there was Commercial Sales Manager. In that role I was in charge of growing the customer base, as well as fulfilling all customer needs. My next adventure was as a Service advisor at a local car dealership. In this role I was in charge of scheduling appointments, meeting customers, understanding what the customer needed and getting their car serviced in a timely manner. I believe I will be able to carry over skills from both jobs to Scales Plus. The most important skill I will be using from prior experience is the ability to follow up with customers as fast and as accurately as possible. If you reach out to me and need anything you can guarantee that I will respond to you as fast as I can.

Q: We have a Taco Tuesday tradition here at Scales Plus. Do you like tacos? What is your favorite taco combination?

A: I love tacos. My favorite tacos are carne asada.

Q: What is the first goal you’d like to achieve as an Inside Sales Manager at Scales Plus?

A: The first personal goal I have is to reach out and introduce myself to all of our customers. The first professional goal I have is to diversify our customer base. I would like to reach out into different markets

Q: As the Inside Sales Manager, how do you see yourself providing additional value for our customers?

A: I see my role as Inside Sales Manager providing added value to customers by being the dedicated point of contact for customers who are in the market for equipment.

Q: What do you think is the number one reason customers should shop with Scales Plus?

A: The number one reason customers should shop with Scales Plus is because we offer so much more than just selling equipment. We service scales,  provide calibration reports, and the team has such a deep knowledge of everything weighing. The customer service within the company is amazing.

Q: If you could have any super power, what would it be?

A: Telepathy. I would be able to read minds! I would also be able to make anyone do what I wanted! Hands down the best superpower!

Q: What weighs more? A pound of feathers or a pound of gold?

A: Haha. They weigh the same. If you want to make sure I'm sure I could sell you a scale to check.

Q: What languages do you speak fluently?

A: I speak two languages. I'm fluent in of course English, as well as Spanish. I took Spanish throughout school from middle school all the way through high school.

Q: What is the best compliment you’ve ever received from a customer?

A: The best compliment I've received from a customer was that working with me didn't feel like business, they said buying products from me felt like asking for a favor from a friend.
